The sensor switch
for the electronic switch system of the PowerBox Competition
The sensor switch represents a quantum transition in the safety of the electronic switching.
Thus, not only two electronic switches, independent from each other are controlled but also the switching
operations are additionally safed by the SET Key.
You should not be satisfied with fewer safety!
Assembly and function
With the Dual-Power-Control PowerBox 40/24 Competition we put at your disposal the power supply of the
second generation. Apart from a modern servo management, we realize in the PowerBox 40/24 also a
double power management. For the first time, an dual power control gets a double linear stabilized
tension of 5,9 Volt. It corresponds exactly to the handicaps of all manufacturers of telecommands
and servos. In order to realize enough performance for 24 servos, 2 x mperes are put at disposal.
The extensive electronics find space in a quadruple layer, which is highly modern in model construction.
In order to get the biggest redundancy in the power supply for model aircrafts, all important components
are carried out twice in the PowerBox 40/24 Competition:
- Double linear voltage regulation
- Double voltage control
- Double minimal value memory
- Double contents of microcontrollers
- 7 double pulse amplifiers
- Double switchable sensor switch
- Double control by external LED`s
The PowerBox 40/24 Competition has 7 swapped control channels, which contain a two-way pulse amplifier each. This pulse
amplification is necessary, to give you the possibility to connect up to four servos simultaneously and in parallel to
one control channel, as that can be necessary for big models. In order to supply the servos, which are normally fed for
these models by very long leads, with a sufficient pulse, it is necessary to raise the control signal, coming from the
receiver to a higher level . Of course, these long servo leads are suppressed in the PowerBox 40/24 Competition .
Additional ferrite rings are no longer necessary for the servos plugged into the PowerBox. Either the proven PowerSwitch-Set
or the newly developped SensorSwitch is included into the delivery of the PowerBox 40/24 Competition. The sensor switch is
equipped with three keys and three coloured LEDs. With the SET key, you execute the electronic switch system. The SET key
remains pressed during all the on and off function. Approximately 1 second after pressing on the SET key, the red LED in the
middle is burn. Now, you can close the circuits 1 and 2 by the the keys 1 and 2. Both green LEDs indicate the mode "on".
To check each circuit, you have the possibility to switch each circuit also separately and to check each battery by operating
the servos. Please observe: by plugging both accus, the system is always "on". The taking out or the damaging of the switch
or connector do not lead to power break-down.
Our "earth decoupling" (used sample, protected no. 20202003.7) of receiver and switch, which has been already proven by the
PowerBox 40/16 Expert and 40/24 Professional, is used in the 40/24 Competition, as well.
